About Tingbudong · Learn Chinese in Taipei

You just landed in Taipei and don't speak Chinese. Explore a small neighbourhood, order breakfast, use an EasyCard, find a coffee and help the people you meet. Learn Taiwan Mandarin through everyday conversations and optional little favours. Progress reveals itself through names and memories in your notebook. Souvenirs are gifts from completed errands, with stories of their own. Tie one onto your character's canvas bag and take it wandering. Play at your own pace. Friends can explore the same street and send preset emojis. Select another visitor to see their chosen title and bag souvenir; learning progress and quest history remain personal.

How to play Tingbudong · Learn Chinese in Taipei

Start with the Taipei intro and choose Guided or Immersion language help. Survive Day 1 brings you onto the street. WASD / arrow keys: move. Drag: look around. Space: hop. E: interact with someone nearby. Phones have movement, hop and interaction buttons. B: pocket, wallet, food and On my bag. J: discovered errands and phrasebook. P: notebook, earned names and souvenirs. R: wave and see people on this street. Escape: menu / close. Talk to NPCs and choose replies for little favours. Cash and EasyCard balances are separate; buying the card and loading money are separate costs. Food, drinks and rest restore energy. Explore freely and keep food for later. Names are discovered through actions. Souvenirs are one-time gifts from the breakfast, umbrella and takeaway errands. Choose your title in the notebook and your souvenir through On my bag. Other players can see your worn charm and inspect your chosen title. There is no XP ranking or player text/voice chat. Emojis don't give energy or rewards. Invite friends with the room link or Antics invite button. Hosted progress needs a manual save: Menu → Keep a save, copy it into your notes, then restore it on your next visit. An Antics login does not store this adventure. Older saves keep their earned titles and charms.
