Ride the elevator up Taipei 101, climb the six hundred stone steps of Elephant Mountain for the classic skyline view, duck through the lantern-lit lanes of Raohe and Shilin night markets, visit Longshan Temple, watch the Miramar Ferris wheel turn, and trace all five MRT lines glowing across the districts. Dress your runner in the Your Look customizer with hairstyles, colors, and very Taiwanese accessories: a cross-body boba cup, an EasyCard on a lanyard, a tanghulu skewer, a scooter helmet. Friends join through a shared link, emotes fly, a stray cat may follow you home, and the Top Runners lantern board remembers who kept the city fed.
How to play Little Taipei
You are the runner who keeps this neighborhood fed. Errands come to you, one warm parcel at a time.
The errand loop:
1. A neighbor has something ready, maybe gua-bao, maybe a temple luck charm. The objective bar tells you who.
2. Walk over and grab it with E, a click, or the TALK button that pops up beside them.
3. Deliver it to the recipient the same way. That is one errand done, and the next request arrives moments later.
4. The compass arrow points to your target when it is nearby. Farther out, it fades, and you navigate by districts like a real Taipeier.
Controls:
- Move: WASD or arrow keys, or the on-screen joystick on phones.
- Hop: Space or the HOP button. React: keys 1 to 9 or the REACT button, with emotes from a wave to a soup dumpling.
- The camera follows behind you. Scroll or pinch out to see the whole planet.
Side quests worth your legs:
- Ride the Taipei 101 observatory elevator to the top and back.
- Climb the Elephant Mountain trail to the summit viewing deck.
- Find the stray cat hiding in the city. Approach, hear the meow, gain a companion.
- Open Your Look to restyle your hair, shirt, and accessory. Everyone in the room sees the change instantly.
