A multiplayer timing game for phones, laptops and a shared TV. Everyone watches a progress bar fade away, then presses STOP when they think the target time has passed. All stops reveal together. Start with a free practice round, then compete across changing targets with nobody eliminated.
How to play Stop the Clock
Create a private game and invite friends with its room link or QR. Choose PLAY or WATCH ONLY; the host can PLAY + HOST or HOST ONLY. At least two players must be ready. Only the host starts practice and each round.
Practice aims for 10.00 seconds and scores no points. Scored targets vary from 7 to 20 seconds without repeats, excluding 10. The bar fills left to right, fades between 40% and 50% of the target, and disappears halfway across. Press STOP once when you think the full target duration has passed. Keep the tab visible.
All times stay secret until attempts close. The deadline is target + 10 seconds. Round results put everyone on one shared timeline. Crowded name labels form counted groups; select a group to see its names and exact times. Your personal card shows stopped time, early/late error, round points and match total.
Results use hundredths of a second. Closest earns 100 points; other places scale by starting player count. Equal errors share rank and points; missed stops score zero.
Play 3 scored rounds with 2–8 competitors, 4 with 9–24, or 5 with 25–64. Most total points wins; final ties share the title. Final standings are one vertical ranking, highest score first; a large TV ranking pages every eight seconds.
Live rooms allow 16 player connections; paired TVs use a separate screen connection. Everyone stays in for every round.
