About Taipei Tug-Off

A Taipei night-market tug-of-war for your whole crew. Bubble tea and popcorn chicken take opposite ends of one shared rope. Everyone taps on their own phone or laptop; only the winning team advances, reshuffling into two new teams until one champion remains. Eliminated players become the 加油 cheering section. A host controls the start, next round, overtime and rematch.

How to play Taipei Tug-Off

Create a friends’ room and share the invite link or QR. Players enter a name and tap I’M READY. The host starts with at least two ready players; unready and late arrivals spectate. After the countdown, tap PULL or press Space repeatedly. No holding. Reach the finish line or lead after 12 seconds to win. Team force is average accepted taps per assigned player, so odd team sizes are balanced. Winners split again until one champion remains. Exact ties replay with a five-second overtime. Disconnections do not shrink the scoring denominator mid-round. The host may wait for disconnected survivors or continue without them before the next round. A full refresh creates a new player identity. The live tap board shows everyone’s round taps; Night-market Records keeps each player’s best completed-round tap score. Classic multiplayer includes host-side tap-rate limits, not server-validated anti-cheat.
