Decay is a first-person co-op zombie survival shooter that runs entirely in your browser. The setting is a fog-choked wilderness regenerated from a new seed every room: two square kilometers of dead trees, rocks, and bad sightlines, with nowhere to hide and no way out. The horde never stops coming. Four breeds of the infected hunt you: shambling walkers, hulking brutes, lean skinnies, and runners that close distance terrifyingly fast. Your answer is an M16A2, a minimap radar, and whatever medkits and armor the world coughs up. Play solo and see how long you last, or share the room link and hold the line as a squad. Teammates appear as color-marked survivors with health bars, the horde splits its attention across everyone alive, and when you fall in co-op you respawn beside a living ally instead of watching from the menu. There is no final wave and no rescue. Just the kill counter climbing and a Top Survivors leaderboard waiting for your name. Built with Three.js, played with a mouse, remembered in kills.
How to play Decay — Co-op Multiplayer Zombie Survival Shooter
Objective: survive as long as you can and rack up kills. There is no win screen. The run ends when the decay takes you.
Controls (desktop, keyboard and mouse):
- Move: WASD. Sprint: Shift. Jump: Space. Crouch: C
- Shoot: Left Mouse. Aim down sights: Right Mouse
- Reload: R. Show controls: P. Release the mouse: Esc
Combat tips that actually matter:
- Your M16A2 holds 30 rounds. Reload before empty and you keep one chambered for a 31st.
- Bullet spread is real. Crouching or aiming down sights tightens it. Sprinting, jumping, and strafing bloom it wide.
- Each hit deals 50 damage, and the tougher variants soak up to 600. Watch the fast ones: runners and skinnies close before the brutes do.
- Armor absorbs damage before health. When you hear ARMOR BROKEN, disengage.
- Red glow means medkit, blue glow means armor. Drops despawn, so detour early.
- Watch the minimap: green is you, red is the horde, team colors are your squad.
Co-op:
- Open the room link on any device to join the same world. Everyone shares the map seed, so the forest is identical for all.
- Death in a squad means respawning near a living teammate. If everyone drops, start fresh.
- Enemies spawn around every living player, so spreading out spreads the pressure.
Kills are submitted when you fall. The Top Survivors board keeps the score honest.
