A 3D kart racer built around trajectory, not reflexes. There are no boost pads and no drift button — the kart has mass, the sand has none of the grip, and the only way to find time is a better line through the corner. Six circuits run from Dune Sprint, wide and forgiving at 34 metres, down to Black Mamba at 14 metres, where a missed apex puts you in the desert. Race up to eight friends by link, with full contact: a nudge at the apex is a legitimate tactic.
How to play Apex Grind
Arrow keys or WASD. Up to accelerate, down to brake and reverse, left and right to steer. A gamepad gives you proper analogue steering and is picked up automatically.
R recovers you to the track after a spin. L shows the optimal line, coloured by the speed it carries — red for slow corners, green for fast. G races you against a ghost of your own best lap. C changes camera, M mutes.
Stay on the asphalt. Sand cuts your top speed in half and bleeds it away over about half a second, so a sloppy line costs real time. Brake early enough to turn, apex late enough to get back on the power onto the straight.
First to finish the lap count wins. Your best lap turns purple when it's the fastest in the race.
