Sunset Drive is a low-poly driving game set in a real map of Taipei, permanently frozen at golden hour. The world is not procedural. Every road, hill and landmark sits at its true bearing and distance from Taipei 101 — Ren'ai Boulevard really does run west from the tower, Longshan Temple really is out past the river bend, and Elephant Mountain really does rise behind Xinyi. Distances are compressed so the whole basin is drivable in a few minutes, but the map you learn here is the city that exists. You drive a chunky taxi with a loose, drift-happy handling model: weight transfer, a handbrake that steps the rear out, and a camera that widens as you gain speed. The Xiangshan climb out of the end of Xinyi Road is a genuine mountain route with hairpins, and the Four Beasts ridge loop is the best road in the game. Everyone who opens the link drives the same dusk in the same city, and a round-based scramble called Landmark Dash runs continuously in the background — so you can either race, or just cruise the basin with the horn and the sunset.
GOAL — Landmark Dash A Taipei landmark lights up as a beacon for everyone in the room. First taxi to reach its ring takes the point, a new target lights up, and the scoreboard (top right) updates. Rounds last 90 seconds; if nobody claims the target in time, it moves on. Points go to the leaderboard. The arrow under the target name at the top of the screen points at the current landmark — follow it, and read the skyline. Taipei 101 is the compass for the whole map. CONTROLS W or ↑ — accelerate S or ↓ — brake, then reverse A / D or ← / → — steer Space — handbrake drift (hold it into a corner, steer through the slide) H — horn R — reset the car if you get stuck or flip M — mute TIPS - Lift off before a corner and tap Space; the taxi rotates on the handbrake, not the wheel. - The highway shoulders and plazas are drivable — cutting corners off-road is legal and often faster. - The Xiangshan climb (east end of Xinyi Road) leads to the ridge route: hairpins, elevation, and the best view of the city. - Everyone shares one dusk. If you see another taxi, it is a real person.
